Greed. Leadership. Vanity and Prosperity. It all starts with your mindset.

Greed. Leadership. Vanity and Prosperity. It all starts with your mindset.

Recently, I’ve been evaluating some software. You know, the usual sales outreach, enablement, and CRM products. As I provide advisory services for sales teams, I feel like I should know a bit about them.

Here’s the big walk-away…. We are losing sight of what matters. Or rather who matters. The demo is great, the free trial is great, but there is this built in expectation that the user is just going to run with it like an Apple iPhone, which btw my wive and I just learned there is a special feature to limit screen time built in! Been using the device for years.

However, if you don’t understand something, or cannot remember how to do something from the demo, then you’re stuck. Customer service is so weak, or slow or ineffective as to be irrelevant. In one 7-day trial, the tutorial video cuts out mid-way, and it took the team 3 days to answer my email.
I blame greed. And poor leadership.

Poor customer service can have a significant impact on a business’s bottom line. In the United States, companies lose over $62 billion annually due to poor customer service.

Additionally, 70% of clients churn away from a company when faced with poor customer service. This high attrition rate underscores the importance of investing in quality customer service to retain customers and maintain profitability in the long term.

Stop building to flip. Build something your children will be proud to run.
